Introduction

Crafting is a very valuable skill in Runescape, it can help you in a variety of ways such as making clay pots, valuable jewellery, sewing together awesome looking leather armour and even crafting your own magical staff.

Pottery

Pottery is a very quick and easy process, it gives you a quick boost of experience and it also helps you for some cooking needs.
The first step is to mine some clay (level 1 mining) from pretty much any mine in the f2p world. Next you will need a jug which you can buy from any general store for 2 gp. Now you need to fill the jug with water from a sink or a fountain, use it on the clay to make soft clay. Walk over to the barbarian village and find a pottery wheel (which is located west houses, barbarian village), use the soft clay on the wheel and make X of the following.
  • Name Crafting Experience Crafting Level
  • Pot 12.6 1
  • Pie Dish 25 7
  • Bowl 33 8
Leather

Leather work is a very fun and quite simple skill to do.

First you will need a cow hide, which you can obtain by killing a cow at either Lumbridge or below Falador. Now time for a tanner to tan your hides, you will need approximately 1 gp for leather and 3 gp for each hard leather hide you wished to be tanned. Tanners are located in Al-Kharid (non-members) or Ranging Guild (members).
Now you will need a needle and some thread, which can be bought at a Crafting Shop in either Al-Kharid (non-members) or Rimmington (members).

Use you needle on any of the leathers and craft X of the following.
